"Getting older allows you to do what you love."
The Fabulous Miromars

Retiring to Florida with their careers behind them, Tom Dawson, Steve Smith and Morag Smith met in Florida and discovered--to their surprise--that it ain't over till it's over!

And suddenly, we have a Scot, a Canadian and an Irishman with music in their past....and now in their future.

One a bank executive who moonlighted in a Gospel group, one a teacher who sang in a rock group and on television, and one who made his living as a comedian.  The three together make up a bizarre miracle called The Fabulous Miromars---three ordinary people with radically different origins, drawn together by a common love of music and an unrelenting desire to perform.

The repertoire is as diverse as the players---an odd mix of oldies rock, country, gospel and whatever.  The only common thread is a solid three-part harmony performed by people who are enjoying themselves almost as much as their audience.

The Fabulous Miromars are:

STEVE SMITH  -  probably most famous for his Canadian and US television series as "Red Green" , which are in reruns today, tomorrow and, hopefully, forever.  His career was capped when he was awarded the highest civilian award, The Order of Canada.  Steve arranges all the material for the trio.  (www.redgreen.com)

MORAG SMITH - born in Scotland.  After moving to Canada and becoming a teacher, she started singing in a folk group in the 60's, then became lead singer in rock band, "Jason", performing primarily in colleges and universities in Canada and the Northeastern US.  Ultimately, Morag became the star of "Smith and Smith" tv program, airing from 1978 to 1985.  Morag's singing voice and irresistible love of performing are a vital component in the success of The Fabulous Miromars.

TOM DAWSON - despite being a Senior Vice President of Bank of America, Tom's secret career has been in gospel music.  Beginning with his childhood in Dublin singing with the boys' choirs in cathedrals and churches.  After emigrating to the US, he was instrumental in starting the Crossroads Quartet of Southern Gospel fame.  Tom has performed with and sung vocal back up for many stars, including Willie Nelson, Roy Clark, The Oak Ridge Boys and The Statler Brothers.  His solid rich baritone provides the vocal foundation for the trio.

Nan Dawson (The Phantom) - a successful banker in her own right, Nan makes it all happen.  Managing the bookings and running the lights and sound for the group, Nan is the non-performing "FM" who protects the professionalism of the presentation and pulls all of the elements together.
